Dr. Catherine Bergmann
Catherine Bergmann, Psy.D. is a Clinical Neuropsychologist and a licensed Clinical Psychologist. She received her Psy.D in Clinical Psychology from the Institute for Psychological Sciences (IPS) in Arlington, VA. During this time, she completed a predoctoral internship at the VA Medical Center, Lincoln, Nebraska. After graduation, Dr. Bergmann received specialized postdoctoral training in neuropsychology and participated in didactic training through Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC), INOVA Neuroscience Grand Rounds, and Georgetown Memory Case Conference.
Dr. Bergmann provides neuropsychological evaluations to assist with differential diagnosis and functional analysis for a wide range of neurocognitive conditions, including (but not limited to) multiple sclerosis, dementia, cerebrovascular illness, Parkinson’s disease, and psychiatric conditions. In addition to her clinical work, she enjoys teaching and training psychology graduate students through the NAF externship program.
Dr. Bergmann is a member of the American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology (AACN) as well as the International Neuropsychological Society (INS). Dr. Bergmann is actively involved in clinical research on multiple neurological conditions including multiple sclerosis (MS), dementia, and substance use, as well as teleneuropsychological assessment and the role of technology in neuropsychology.
